Loan Relief for SHFCU Borrowers


As we seek to protect our members’ health and safety during the COVID-19 outbreak, we also are taking immediate action to help provide financial relief.

Mortgage Borrowers can call our hotline at 855-956-3595. We can offer financial guidance and discuss options and solutions that may be available to you. Please be prepared to document your job loss or loss of income through a layoff notice or other documentation. Alternatively, you may email that documentation to lossmitigation@self-helpfcu.org or fax to 708-780-0352. Please provide your full name and property address with your email or fax. 

Consumer Loan Borrowers

Self-Help Federal Credit Union members who currently have a consumer loan with us may be eligible for assistance with future payments. To be eligible, you must be experiencing hardship directly related to COVID-19.

Delinquent Loans:

Car loans, Signature or Personal loans, and other consumer loans that are past due/delinquent, you can apply using an online application or members may email completed applications to collections@self-helpfcu.org.

Current Loans:

Car loans, share-secured loans, and other consumer loans that are current, an application is required. You can apply using an online application or members may email completed applications to collections@self-helpfcu.org.

Credit Card:

Credit Card loans, you can apply using an online application or members may email completed applications to collections@self-helpfcu.org.

Commercial Loan Borrowers

Contact your loan officer or commercial loan servicing at 800-747-3215.
